I'LL LOVE YOU FOREVER
Melanie Wick Singer
149 words
Most of the time, she was alone.
It had always been that way.
Being alone gave her a chance to see the world.
But there came a time when seeing the world wasn't enough.
She was ready for more.
Finding a friend wasn't as easy as she thought.
It went well at first, but then...
she'd get swept up in the moment.
"I'll love you forever!" she'd cry out.
"It's too much, too fast," everyone said,
practically looking right through her.
People can be so hard to please.
The more desperate she was,
the more she pushed them away.
But everything changed one spring day,
when the desperate Wind
looked up at the sky.
Like all the times before,
she got swept up in the moment.
"I'll love you forever!" the Wind cried out.
But this time the answer was different:
"I sure hope so," whispered the Kite.
Congratulations on your site, it is a beautiful place! I love your short story "I Love You Forever" Its so unique and humanistic, looking for that prefect love or friendship.
